Why “Hades”? No, I’m not morbid, nor a devil worshipper!
My husband is Greek, and Hades is the Greek god of the underworld. Because Pharaohs can be little devils, and because my husband is Greek, I thought the name fit. I’m reminded of the Disney movie “Hercules” in which the character Hades says “We dance, we kiss, we schmooze, we carry on, we go home.” That’s what life with Pharaohs is like. You’re not in Hell, you’re in Hades!

Hades Hounds is the proud home to “Tiye” the 2002 Pedigree Award Winner , Best of Breed winner at Westminster, and the #5 Pharaoh Hound in AKC history, and “Excaliber” the youngest Specialty and Best in Show winner, as well as some very charming and successful young puppies!
